The Dundalk U15 side were narrowly beaten by Galway United on Sunday afternoon in their penultimate EA Sports National Underage League Group B game of the season.
It was a game of two halves in the west, as Galway were on top throughout the first half, before the Lilywhites took control in the second period.
In a game of fine margins, a penalty was all that could separate the sides, with Colm Whelan converting from the spot for the hosts.
Despite their best efforts, Conor Woods’ side couldn’t find that elusive equaliser as they slipped to defeat for the second week running.
All focus now turns to Dundalk’s final group game at home to St Patrick’s Athletic next Sunday, August 22nd at 1pm.
