Dundalk FC midfielder Robbie Benson spoke to us after the club’s relegation to the SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division was confirmed on Friday night.
The Lilywhites were beaten 2-0 by double-chasing Derry City at Oriel Park, with Benson afterwards opening up on his frustrations with how the club has ended up here.
He said: “I don’t know how it has been allowed to get to this stage. It’s really unbelievable from where the club was to let it go this bad.”
