Dundalk FC is delighted to confirm the appointment of Peter Halpin as the club’s new Chief Executive Officer.
Peter brings a wealth of experience to the role. A former General Manager at Oriel Park between 2004 and 2006, he also previously held commercial positions at Bohemians and Glentoran.
In 2011, he established Halpin Sport Sponsorship, a business with a proven track record in the development and delivery of shirt sponsorships, stadium naming rights and official partner deals with clubs in the English Premier League, the Championship and around Europe.
“This is a very proud moment for me,” said Peter. “I feel very humbled and honoured that Brian Ainscough has entrusted me with guiding how Dundalk FC moves forward into the future and I’m looking forward to working with the supporters and business people of Dundalk and its environs to ensure a bright future for this wonderful club both on and off the pitch.
“Over the last 13 years, I have been working in my own business, which I will be continuing in, and I am confident that I can implement many of the learnings I have had from working with football clubs both in Ireland and across the globe into my new role at Oriel Park. Already in recent weeks, we are starting to see a positive impact in that regard.
“Having been at the club before, I know the great potential Dundalk FC has and to meet our goals as a town and club, we will need the support of the entire fanbase and community.
“Dundalk FC is a focal point for so many people and once we have things right off the field, there’s no reason why it can’t provide a platform to ensure a return of the many wonderful nights we all enjoyed not that long ago.
“No one person can achieve such heights on their own. We need everybody with a vested interest in the success of Dundalk FC to collaborate, and my door will always be open and my phone will always be on to listen to ideas.
“The road ahead will not be without its bumps and challenges but what we want to achieve as a club can be done. Let’s go to work and together let’s make it happen.”
