We would like to say a special word of thanks to our Official Community Partners, PayPal, who have kindly sponsored the SSE Airtricity League game with Sligo Rovers at Casey’s Field.
PayPal has remained at the forefront of the digital payment revolution for more than 20 years. By leveraging technology to make financial services and commerce more convenient, affordable and secure, the PayPal platform is empowering people and businesses to join and thrive in the global economy.
Following the opening of its European operations in Dublin in 2003, PayPal also established an operations centre at the Xerox Technology Park in Dundalk nine years later and currently employs over 2,000 people across both sites.
In March 2022, PayPal was announced as Dundalk FC’s Official Community Partner, a venture that has seen the company offer its support to the club’s community programme which aims to make a significant social contribution, improve people’s lives and provide opportunities and support to the people of Dundalk and Co Louth.
Earlier this year, PayPal Dundalk employees held a bucket collection at Oriel Park which raised a total of €2,679 for the Irish Red Cross’ Ukraine Crisis Appeal.
More recently, the club, along with employees from PayPal Dundalk, helped to host a Family Fun Day at Oriel Park in aid of Inclusion Louth’s 50th Anniversary celebrations.
“Dundalk FC has been at the heart of our community in Dundalk for many years, bringing joy and pride to the people of the town and surrounding areas,” said PayPal Dundalk senior manager Brendan Mulholland.
“It is wonderful to see their broader commitment to give to the community across many dimensions and our PayPal teams are in turn proud to be part of this journey with them.”
