Just two weeks after Luke Mulligan became the youngest player to wear a Dundalk shirt in a competitive fixture, 15-year-old Vincent Leonard broke the record with a commanding display in the Leinster Senior Cup tie with Bohemians at Oriel Park.
The Meath native, who played with Torro United before joining our academy at U14 level, produced a commanding display in the 0-0 draw with the young Gypsies team and, at the tender age of 15 years, 10 months and 28 days, overtook Mulligan who was 16 years, two months and eight days when he came off the bench against Malahide United in the previous Leinster Senior Cup fixture.
