Dundalk FC, in conjunction with our Community Sustainability Partners Dundalk Credit Union, are looking for you to feed back into your community with the launch of the club’s new ‘Lily the Bin’ initiative.
Three new, easily identifiable blue bins will be situated in various parts of Oriel Park on match days and we are simply asking all Dundalk FC supporters to ‘feed Lily the Bin’ with your empty Re-turn bottles and cans.
Lily the Bin will be situated in three locations on a match day at Oriel Park.
- Beside the shop at the side of the main stand.
- Behind the Town End goal.
- Beside the food outlets in the Town End/Shed Side corner.
All of the proceeds from the Lily the Bin donations will go towards our Dundalk FC In The Community programmes.
“As a club, we are delighted to launch this concept, which will protect our environment and lead to a cleaner and more sustainable Oriel Park,” said Dundalk FC FSR Officer Aoife Burns.
“The first initiative that will benefit from the funds that are raised is The Trí Little Birds School Football Programme which is also supported by the FAI and Healthy Ireland.
“This primary school football programme which promotes teamwork through football skills will be rolled out to 16 schools in Co Louth in September after successful pilots earlier in the year.”
“As part of our Community Sustainability Partnership, Dundalk Credit Union is proud to partner with Dundalk FC, working together to make our community more sustainable,” said Naomi O’Donoghue, Head of Business Development and Sales at Dundalk Credit Union.
“We’re excited to introduce Lily the Bin, a new initiative at Oriel Park where fans can donate their Re-turn drink cans and bottles.
“The funds raised from these donations will be reinvested into local community initiatives, furthering our shared commitment to environmental sustainability and community well-being.
“Join us in making a difference—one bottle at a time – and remember, feed Lily the Bin to feed back into your community!”
