A bucket collection will take place at Friday night’s SSE Airtricity League game with Derry City at Oriel Park to try and raise funds for Dundalk Simon Community’s annual Sleep Out which will take place on Friday, December 3rd.
For the second year in a row, the Sleep Out has gone virtual and we are calling on our players and supporters to swap your beds for a sleeping bag and forego your usual comforts for one night to raise desperately needed awareness and funds for those experiencing homelessness in Dundalk.
The charity, which provides emergency accommodation and key working to vulnerable adults experiencing homelessness in Dundalk, has been hit hard by the economic fallout from the Covid-19 pandemic, with many traditional fundraising events being postponed or cancelled.
Now, with Christmas fast approaching, Dundalk Simon is appealing to its loyal band of local supporters – and Dundalk FC fans – to get involved and give what they can.
To make a donation, click on this link which will take you to the Just Giving page and remember to fill those buckets at Oriel Park on Friday night!
