Three of our boys’ academy sides were in action over the weekend.
U17 // Dundalk FC 2-1 Cork City
After going 1-0 down, our U17 team produced a very good second-half display to overcome Cork City at Oriel Park on Saturday.
Eoin Kenny and Markus Strods were on target while Josh Hand was rewarded for an all-action display by being named Player of the Match. All three are pictured above.
U14 // Dundalk FC 3-1 Cavan Monaghan
Vinnie Leonard, Jack Martin and Shay Hoey were on target as the U14s produced a fine display to beat Cavan Monaghan in Cootehill on Saturday. Jay Madigan was named Player of the Match by manager Harry McShane.
U19 // St Patrick’s Athletic 2-0 Dundalk
The U19s slipped to a 2-0 defeat against St Patrick’s Athletic in Blanchardstown on Sunday.
Things might have panned out differently if some big decisions had gone Dundalk’s way in the opening stages but goals from Jason Folarin and Ben Curtis gave Pat’s the win.
