Dundalk Ladies 9-1 Cootehill Harps
NEFL Women’s Division North
Dundalk Ladies made it back to back league wins on Monday night as they ran out 9-1 winners over Cootehill Harps on Monday night.
Numbers are low for the Lilywhites in recent weeks due to injuries across the squad but those who were available were once again relentless in their attacking play as they made light work of a good Cootehill side.
Louise Johnson opened the scoring for Eddie Conroy’s side, and that seemed to open the floodgates as Dundalk gained confidence and continued to cut through the opposition defence with ease.
Strikes from Dayna Ferguson and Sarah McHugh put the hosts well ahead, but they didn’t stop there, as a brace from Katie Brophy and a final finish from the returning Caoimhe Crichton wrapped up another superb performance from the Lilywhites.
Despite low numbers in the squad, Conroy’s side produced a performance of the highest quality for a second successive week, and they’ll be hopeful of continuing this form in the coming weeks.
