There will be a minute’s applause for legendary Dundalk FC supporter Mark ‘Maxi’ Kavanagh before this Friday’s match with Derry City at Oriel Park (kick-off 7.45pm).
Maxi’s tragic passing was confirmed in the closing stages of our home game against Bohemians on 27th September, with this Friday being our first match at Oriel since then.
Derry City have been informed of the minute’s applause, with the Candystripes saying that Maxi was “very well thought of by us all at Derry City FC and we would be honoured to play our part”.
Maxi’s month’s mind will take place on the morning of our final home match of the season, against Shamrock Rovers, on Sunday 27th October in the Church of the Holy Redeemer at 11.30am. All very welcome.
A positive mind during negative times will provide you the strength to shield you from THE STORM.
“Greatness keeps moving along”.
We would ask all who attend Oriel Park this Friday to join us in paying a loud tribute to Maxi.
