Staff members from Dundalk Credit Union popped into Oriel Park last week to celebrate and highlight the collaboration between the two organisations.

In May 2023, Dundalk FC announced a three-year partnership that saw Dundalk Credit Union become the club’s Women’s Football Patron and Community Sustainability Partner.

As the existing Community Partner of the Louth School Girls League, Dundalk Credit Union is proud to continue supporting the talented young players who may progress from the School Girls League to senior level with the Lilywhites.

Dundalk Credit Union is also heavily involved in some of the club’s Community Sustainability initiatives, such as the Community Boot Room and the Climate Captains campaign.

“I am delighted to celebrate our continued partnership with Dundalk Credit Union, our Women’s Football Patron and Sustainability Partner,” said Dundalk FC commercial manager Nita Whelan.

“Together, we are advancing women’s football and championing sustainable practices within our community. This collaboration is a testament to our commitment to fostering inclusivity and environmental stewardship, ensuring a brighter future both on and off the pitch. We deeply appreciate Dundalk Credit Union’s unwavering support and dedication.”

“Dundalk Credit Union are proud to partner with Dundalk FC as the club’s Women’s Football Patron and Sustainability Partner,” said Dundalk Credit Union’s head of sales and business development, Naomi O’Donoghue.

“We appreciate how important community support for women’s football is. We have been proud to witness the growth and progress of the ladies’ teams over the past few years, both through Dundalk FC and the Louth School Girls League.

“As Dundalk FC’s Sustainability Partner, we are committed to working with Aoife Burns, the club’s Football and Social Responsibility Officer to enhance the club’s sustainability initiatives.

“Through the power of our local club and local credit union, we hope to engage our community in making small changes towards a greener, smarter future.”
