We are pleased to announce the loan signing of goalkeeper Felix Goddard from Blackburn Rovers.
Born in Frankfurt, Felix moved to Singapore when he was young and joined the Manchester City academy when he relocated to England in 2017.
He moved to Blackburn Rovers in 2020 and signed his first professional contract with the club two years later.
Goddard, who turned 20 in March, picked up first-team experience during loan spells at Lancaster City, Bamber Bridge and Marine.
“Felix is a goalkeeper that is very highly regarded at Blackburn and they are looking for him to get first-team exposure and to come over here and play,” said Dundalk FC manager Jon Daly.
“The conversations I had with the goalkeeper coaches at Blackburn were very positive.
“He controls the space behind the backline well which is important when you want to press high and they’ve said he’s the type of goalkeeper that can win us games so we are looking forward to working with him.”
“My goalkeeper coach at Blackburn Rovers told me the League of Ireland is a good level and I’m here to try and help Dundalk stay in the Premier Division. It’s a challenge I’m looking forward to,” said Felix Goddard.
