We are pleased to announce that Mark Rossiter has returned to the club as our new opposition analyst.
The 41-year-old will link up with Lilywhites manager Jon Daly and coach Graham Kelly again after holding a similar role at St Patrick’s Athletic during their tenure at Richmond Park.
‘Rossi’ won the SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division title and the EA SPORTS Cup with Dundalk in 2014 and he said he was looking forward to coming back to a club he holds in high regard.
“I’m delighted to be back at Dundalk,” said Mark Rossiter. “It’s a wonderful club with some wonderful people and I really enjoyed my spell at Oriel Park.
“I’ve known Jon for the best part of 25 years and I enjoyed working with him and Graham at Pat’s earlier this season so it’s great to get the opportunity to link up with them as well. They’re two really good guys and hopefully, I can add something to the set-up.
“I think it’s important to have somebody going to watch games and get the feel for other teams and what they are good at, and what they might not be good at, and to try and find a few nuggets of information that will help Dundalk over the remainder of the season.”
“It’s brilliant to get someone like Mark back to the club in a very important role,” said Jon Daly. “He has a great eye for the game and his attention to the small details will help us when we’re preparing for our next opponents.
“I’ve known him a long time – since we were kids back in the Ireland underage days – and not only is he very good at scouting opponents, he’s also a great guy, a real genuine person who would go out of his way to help anyone.
“I think it’s important to get the right characters into the club, people that will help drive the levels of professionalism up, and Mark will certainly do that. I’m looking forward to working with him again.”
