The Dundalk FC Development Group recently welcomed its first contractor on site to begin upgrade works on both the playing facilities and the Youth Development Centre (YDC) at Oriel Park.
J-Tec Control Systems, a local company based in Faughart with extensive experience in controls, automation and working with some of the leading data centres in Ireland, have spent the last couple of weeks upgrading the fire alarm system in the YDC, while also upgrading the electrical system to allow for further redevelopment of the existing building.
The Dundalk FC Development Group is also delighted to say that Jarlath Flynn from J-Tec Control Systems has agreed to supply and fit new switchgear for the floodlights. This will allow us to progress further in the works planned to install modern LED lights as part of the overall development plan.
The Dundalk FC Development group would like to thank Jarlath for all his work recently, as it was done voluntarily.
Stephen Neary from the Dundalk FC Development Group said: “We were delighted when we spoke to Jarlath last year about getting involved with the development project. To have someone of his expertise and experience assist us with our floodlight project and now the YDC is fantastic.
“The Development Group would also like to thank Dermot Nugent for the role he has played in getting us to this point. As a lifelong fan of Dundalk, Dermot has facilitated our partnership with Jarlath and J-Tec Control Systems and we are grateful for his help.”
