We are delighted to welcome Mark McCumiskey, Aaron Ferguson, Danny O’Connell, Dominic McKevitt and Fiachra Taaffe onto our Supporter Liaison Team for the 2023 League of Ireland season.
The Supporter Liaison Team, which also includes Jane McDermott, will have constant dialogue with club management and collaborate with matchday security staff on related matchday issues.
The team’s key responsibilities will be to assist the club with providing all supporters with information and assisting with feedback, enquiries and complaints on matchdays at Oriel Park.
“I would like the supporters to know that no question is too big, or too small. We are there on matchdays to provide a link between them and the club,” said Mark McCumiskey.
“We are here to help in any way we can and will put whatever questions or concerns the supporters have back to the club and get a timely response.”
The role of a Supporter Liaison Officer (SLO) has increased in recent years and is now a crucial part of the club’s development as we aim to communicate better with fans on various issues.
The Supporter Liaison Team will be positioned inside and outside of the stadium and will be at hand to help, offering a friendly face, accurate information, and support to all who attend matches in Oriel Park.
As well as providing support to the SLOs from opposition clubs, the Supporter Liaison Team will take note of, and assist, with all fan comments, suggestions and complaints and to provide reports and feedback to club management in order to improve the fan experience.
All of the SLOs have also committed to undertake any relevant FAI and UEFA training/information sessions to keep up to date with new developments for SLOs and supporter issues.
